Many of us has the issue of not being able to flash (Upgrade ROM) THE Samsung Omnia I900 in Windows 7.

Below is the solution.

  1. Download “grandprix vista 1.6.4”. Click here to download
  2. Download “i900_EXEcutor.exe”.  Click here to download
  3. Download Any (cooked) ROM
  4. Disassemble ROM with i900_executorimage
  5. Run GRANDPRIX.                               image
  6. Select GRANDPRIX LV IMAGE as the profile
  7. Load LOADER, PDA and CSC (some ROMs don't have CSC - it's ok...leave blank)
  8. Disable START DOWNLOAD IMMEDIATELY
  9. Connect the phone.
  10. Restart phone.
  11. It will search for drivers during the first time (like MODEM DRIVER in XP).
  12. If the driver’s didn't find immediately, restart phone few times until it finds it.
  13. Repeat steps 9-12 until GRANDPRIX shows phone found
  14. Flash the phone

I am not responsible for any damage that may be caused before, during or after the flash. It’s entirely at your own risk.

Practical savings tips for every day saving

    Posted by Unknown 0 comments

Try take-out once a month instead of dining out.

Rent a video instead of going to the movies.  If you really want to go to the movies, go to the less expensive afternoon "matinee."

Or better yet, go to your local library and borrow books, CDs, videos, and read the latest magazines and newspapers.

Bring your lunch to work once or twice a week instead of buying it.

Don't grocery shop on an empty stomach or you may end up buying more than you need.

Cut down food costs by buying what you need on sale, buying generic brands, buying in bulk, and shopping at discount outlets.

Don't buy a sale item or use a coupon just for the sake of it being "cheaper."  Buy an item only if you need it!  Shop with a list.

Increase your gas mileage by taking care of your car with schedule check-ups, or just drive less. Consider carpooling, walking, taking the bus or train, or riding your bike.

Cancel your cable (or at least the premium channels), as well as subscriptions to magazines and newspapers.

Exercise at home rather than joining a gym.

Make your own coffee at home rather than buying from a store, or at least cut down the number of times per week you purchase coffee.

    Get health insurance.

Track your spending and cash - know where every Rupee goes!

Organize a friend/relative/neighbor swap of clothes, toys, furniture, CDs, etc.

Buy clothes for next year at the end-of-season sales - try garage sales and thrift stores.

Find a simple hairstyle that doesn't cost too much to take care of on daily/weekly basis.

Take advantage of free entertainment in your community - parks, museums, exhibits, etc.  Go to free park concerts and other community activities.

Try to buy with cash, checks, or debit cards. If you use credit cards, get rid of all but one or two, and pay off the balance each month. You can save hundreds or thousands of Rupees a year by avoiding credit card interest charges.

Always do your grocery shopping with a list of items you need  -- and don't buy anything that's not on the list. You can save hundreds of Rupees a year by avoiding impulse food purchases.

Compare unit prices on labels when shopping (for example, price per ounce). You can save hundreds of Rupees a year by purchasing items with the lowest price per unit.

Avoid shopping at convenience stores. You pay for the convenience -- the prices are usually higher than grocery stores.

Consider taking your lunch to work rather than buying it. Depending on where you live and what you eat for lunch, you could save Rs 100/- a day.

Review your telephone and cable bills for services you don't use and cancel them. If you subscribe to magazines you rarely get around to reading, cancel the subscription. You could save a lot each month.

When choosing a cell phone plan, find one that's appropriate for the calls you intend to make. For example, if you plan to use the phone only for emergencies, avoid plans with monthly fees or minimums.

When your doctor prescribes a medicine, ask if a generic is available -- you'll pay less. If you're taking a "maintenance" medicine, consider a mail-order pharmacy -- you'll pay less.

Before buying a car, compare insurance, gasoline, maintenance, and repair costs for comparable models. You can save thousands of Rupees over the life of the car by choosing a model with low operating costs.

Save hundreds of Rupees a year on gasoline by making sure your car's engine is tuned regularly and your tires have enough pressure.

    16 Dreams of King Kosala

    10/16/09 , By DhammaMedicine at 9:44 AM

Google Wave, First Impression and Review

Posted by Unknown Wednesday, October 21, 2009 0 comments

If you are not among the 100,000 lucky invitees hope you will be able to get a little bit insight from the review.

Those who are willing to get into wave you can request from Google wave and keep your finger crossed.

    First Impression

As the first impression the Google wave looks like yet another email program with a navigation pane, massage panel, contacts panel and the message display panel.

When you log into Google wave for the first time, you get bit confused on what to do. But luckily Google has a nice introduction video.

After few tries I found few cool features in Wave.

    Real-time Updating tool

In Google wave, you and your colleagues can update documents at the same time. The feature is amazing that you can actually see the text being edited from the other end.

    image

    Wave editor

All the messages are called ‘waves’. wave editor has all the features needed to edit text successfully. There are several features already in the toolbar

    Yes/No/Maybe Gadget

    MSN Maps

    More Gadgets to come soon.

    Invitations

Google tries to increase the demand by limiting the number of invitations. I remember their launch of “GMAIL”. Google only provides 8 invitations to the users. That also only to the account where Google invites.

    image

Sadly there are no invitations for those people who are invited by some other Google wave user.

I am yet to investigate more features and will update all of you accordingly.

    Happy (Google) Waving…. :)

    Windows mobile SMS Notification Eraser

    Posted by Unknown 0 comments

SMS delivery notification is an annoying thing that Windows
mobile did not get rid of even after their latest version 6.5. You have to
manually delete them all the time…

    Here is the solution.

    ScreenShot2

This is a simple small program,

    • Erase, so called: delivery report automatically after the selected time.
    • Set the time, when it will erase reports, after the last report
    • Announce the delivery notification with a special sound, at your will
    • Don't need look on screen, and turn the backlight on, because you hear the notification
    • The program runs in Background

    DOWNLOAD

YOU HAVE TO make a soft-reset of your mobile device, after installation is finished.

Tested in My Samsung OMNIA under windows mobile 6.5. Works like a charm
